Meg Lipke est née en 1969 à Portland (Oregon). Elle a grandi à Burlington (Vermont) et dans le Cheshire (Royaume-Uni). Elle a obtenue son diplôme des beaux-arts (MFA) à l'université Cornell (NY) et a enseigné à l'université du Nord de l'Iowa, à l'université Cornell et à l'Institut Pratt de Brooklyn. Son travail a été exposé à échelles nationale et internationale, et des magazines tels qu’Art in America, The Village Voice, The New York Times et de nombreuses publications en ligne en ont rédigé la critique. Elle vit et travaille dans le quartier de Bushwick à Brooklyn (NY).
