Antonio Dias

Antonio Dias was a Brazilian artist who was born on 16 February 1944 in Campina Grande, in the state of Paraíba, Brazil, and died on 1 August 2018 in Rio de Janeiro. Active since the 1960s, Dias was known for his multidisciplinary work exploring social, political and cultural themes. He participated in artistic movements such as neo-concretism and conceptual art. His work spans a range of media, including painting, sculpture, photography and installation. Dias has exhibited in numerous museums and galleries around the world, and his impact on Brazilian and international contemporary art remains significant.
