The abstract paintings of Claude Tétot want to be non expressive, non narratives. They are. Nothing suggests a questioning of painting or action painting. Their position critical of certain trends in contemporary art does not express it. Nor does it manifest the affirmation of the use of abstractions "models" old. The line drawings on colored surfaces and colored plans sometimes "flashy" in Claude Tétot not mention the precise patterns and lyrical whose we are use to read the speed of entry and concentration gestures which, in the paintings of Hans Hartung, exposes the spiritual and physical involvement of the artist. It is not for him to experience the possibilities of abstraction after abstraction, but more precisely define, therefore, outside the modern and postmodern conventions, the conditions for a new representation, in relation to the possibilities of figuration new information technologies, applicable equally to a realistic production. Claude Tétot entered his painting in real time lived in his time, isolate term ended as a monad in the flow of time in the history and memory.
