Jennifer Sirey
Biography
Jennifer Sirey was born in and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from School of Visual Arts in 1990. Her sculpture is focused on the phenomenological result of combining and composing with materials of various properties. For years, she has been refining a process of growing Acetobacter or “Mother of Vinegar” as a building material to construct living sculptures. She has had solo and two person exhibitions at Feature Inc. in NYC, Kevin Bruk in Miami, Platform Project Space and Real Estate Fine Art in Brooklyn and has been included in exhibitions at galleries such as Feature Inc., Morgan Lehman, Andrew Edlin, On Stellar Rays and Derek Eller in NYC and The Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, NY.
