“Laetitia de Chocqueuse’s artworks give themselves to us amidst the giddiness of a dizzy spell. Like a sea shell would hold the sea, each piece contains the spatiotemporal memory of its original context. Sciences, both human and natural, mingle with the history of techniques and shapes but the connecting of remote if not diverging realities does not end there. Because each one of them is equally penetrated by the idea of a flow, a cycle, encompassing both transmission and anticipation.”

Graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Laetitia de Chocqueuse studied at The École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, as well as at La Cambre in Brussels. In Belgium, her work has been shown in the context of the Speedy Wash (Wiels outdoor, 2009) or during the fair Art on Paper (Bozar, 2017). In France, she has recently exhibited her work at the Centre d’art contemporain Les Tanneries in Amilly and has been selected for the 59th Salon de Montrouge (2014) and the Bourse Révélations Emerige (2017).
