BERNARD PAGÈS

CHEZ JEAN PROUVÉ

July 22 - July 23, 2017

We remember the pleasure we had last July when confronting Claude Viallat’s paintings to Jean Prouvé’s simple aesthetic in the framework of the house he built at the beginning of the 60s, opening on trees and bathed in the light of the Saint-Tropez bay: a piece of architecture made of wood, aluminum and glass playing with lightness and transparency. Today we rejoice again to have Bernard Pagès come over the summer to open a dialogue between his corrugated iron prints and those of the 200-square meters roof, between his works in apparent contrast with the fragility of the architecture, his lively and colorful-shaped wood and metal sculptures and Beauvallon’s slanting pines and sky.
