Lorsqu'il peint sculpte ou installe, Scott Reeder s'empare de formes simples pour aborder des idées complexes et déployer une critique de la société. Connu pour son dessin cartoonesque, aux contours expressifs et aux couleurs « flashy », comme le montre sa série « cute communists » de 2007 qui représente les plus grands leaders communistes en poupées. Un autre aspect de son travail reprend les icônes de l'histoire de l'art qu'il reconsidère avec familiarité et humour. Enfin sa série « spaghetti » approfondit son approche de l'art abstrait en tant qu'experience visuelle. Il est le frère et le collaborateur artistique de Tyson Reeder
