En tant qu'artiste performeuse, Evans aborde ce que signifie être une femme avec une honnêteté totale. Des œuvres comme I Just Came Here To Find A Husband explorent sa lutte pour être célibataire et trouver la paix intérieure, tandis que Frying Chicken illustre ses insécurités concernant la noirceur, la montrant en talons, en train de manger du poulet frit avec de l'huile pour bébé et de la graisse de poulet sur tout le corps. Sa performance féministe, Girl, I’d Drink Your Bath Water, joue sur un sifflement populaire, dans lequel elle utilise une baignoire, de l'eau et du savon pour se purifier.
Son œuvre la plus populaire, Operation Catsuit, a commencé lorsque Evans a été moquée pour avoir porté une combinaison en néon vert lors d'événements artistiques, mais acceptée lorsqu'elle a revêtu une tenue « arty ». « Mon corps était entièrement couvert mais, en raison de ma silhouette voluptueuse, la tenue était controversée », explique Evans.
