Michael Mahalchick

Biographie

Michael Mahalchick a grandi à Pottsville (Pennsylvanie) et est désormais la coqueluche de la ville de New York. Il est titulaire d’une maîtrise en beaux-arts du CalArts (California Institute of Arts) de Valencia (USA) et d’un diplôme d’études post-secondaire en beaux-arts et sculpture de la Tyler School of Art and Architecture de Philadelphie. New York et l’Europe ont souvent accueilli les travaux et les performances de l’artiste et sculpteur Michael Mahalchick. Des expositions récentes incluent « Skin Game » à la galerie Canada de New York ; « Last Arrangements » à la galerie Louis B. James de New York ; une exposition personnelle à la galerie d’art Richard Telles Fine Art de Los Angeles ; et « Here Today, Gone Tomorrow » au New Britain Museum of American Art (Connecticut). En 2010, Mahalchick a reçu un New York Dance and Performance Bessie Award pour PURO DESEO, en collaboration avec Luciana Achugar.
