Collective

June 27 - July 13, 2024

Art is a means and an object of knowledge. It helps us to be in the world and to think. This is what these artists have expressed in and through their works. This is what the younger American and French artists employ and we are proud to present their works. They are paving the way out of postmodernity, out of the contemporary understood as an avatar of erstwhile isms, towards a new modernity that will be nothing like the "modernism" achieved hitherto.

Ceysson & Bénétière is pleased to present its summer exhibition, Collective. This group exhibition aims to reflect on the past year and to mark a pause in time at the gallery. It will bring together a selection of emblematic works from this season, by artists who have exhibited in Paris and in our other spaces.

Collective will feature works by Pierre Buraglio, Max Charvolen, Claire Chesnier, Noël Dolla, Lesley Foxcroft, Tomona Matsukawa, Nicolas Momein, Aurélie Pétrel, Florian Pugnaire & David Ruffini, Lionel Sabatté and Jean-Luc Verna, thus offering a panorama of the gallery.

This collective exhibition highlights the diverse artistic practices and unique approaches of each artist, while creating a visual and conceptual dialogue between their works. By bringing together these artists, Collective initiates a dialogue between varied artistic techniques, revealing convergences and contrasts that enrich our understanding of contemporary art.

This exhibition is an invitation to discover or rediscover the work of our artists and the gallery, while offering a moment for reflection on the different artistic approaches.

Ceysson & Bénétière Gallery, founded with the aim of promoting contemporary art, has established itself as a space for artistic discovery and reflection. It supports and accompanies emerging and established artists, providing them with a platform to exhibit their works and interact with the public and collectors. Through its diverse exhibitions, the gallery aspires to enrich cultural dialogue and encourage artistic encounters.
